Sequence: short vowels a, i, o, u and e and gradual introduction of consonant blends, degraphs and trigraph. 86 pages, 22 stories.

These stories have controlled vocabulary and decodable text. The non-decodable words are shown at the beginning of each story and are taught prior to reading. Everything else can be decoded based on skills learned in the building block sequence. These illustrated stories are about everyday life and include people of all ages — making it acceptable to older beginning readers as well. Ideal for dyslexics.
