Workbook 6 continues practice in plural forms, compound words, and
two-syllable words. New consonant sounds and diphthongs are introduced: hard and
softc and g, dge, ph, ie, oi, oy,
igh, ow, and au.
There are no storybooks specifically designed to accompany Workbook 6; by the
time students have progressed to this level, they should be able to read
children's books written at a first- and second-grade reading level.
